At Limelight Systems, we have an unconventional approach to the sales processes which we feel results in more satisfied customers. Unlike many companies in the industry, Limelight Systems does not provide “free estimates” or proposals. We also refuse to compete for business that is ultimately awarded to the lowest bidder, which is not going to be us. It has been our experience that persons who consider price alone fail to see the value in our service and are ultimately left disappointed. If a potential customer approaches us looking for a competitive bid, we simply tell them we are not interested. If this same client is looking for a solution to their needs and blueprints to lead them there, we are happy to provide such a plan for a fee. A comprehensive engineered system design can take weeks to develop and those that cannot realize the value of our time are not the type of clients we are looking for. This approach is designed to benefit the client and avoid hasty decisions by either party by allowing for total custom tailoring of the design to meet the exact expectations and needs of the client and end users. When both parties are satisfied and a decision to move forward with the project is made, the design retainer is credited toward the purchase of the system. Shall the client decide not to proceed with the project, or choose to use another installation firm; the client is left with an engineered system design complete with the bill of materials, prints, elevations, wire pull with numbers, and wiring schematics. This information can be given to any integrator or consultant for complete simple implementation. All of our clients understand the value in this approach and the satisfaction it brings.
